Nature Based Leadership Training, CERES
N.I. Tools

Last week I was in a pub having a beer with some old friends who were visiting town.

Their 25 year old son joined us and was talking about how organising events with his friends had changed.

A growing number of his mates had to be told face-to-face details about picnics in the park or upcoming parties because they no longer had smartphones.

We were initially shocked and then completely fascinated.  We asked him why and he told us his friends were sick of their minds feeling overwhelmed by internet slop and had simply decided to ditch their devices.

These days my mind feels like it is working at warp speed digesting and responding to all the information pouring into my inbox and feeds.

Sometimes I wonder if I should be equipping myself with AI tools to speed up my ability to process and pump it all back out again.

But recently I’ve noticed that instead of speeding everything up to be more productive, there are people around me actively slowing everything down.

Whether it’s regenerative or nature based leadership, different forms of meditation and movement, they’re approaching work and life differently – not with regular thinking+ AI but, for want of better words, with natural intelligence.

There’s no app we can download to connect to natural intelligence, it’s in us and around us in nature and to get at it we need to slow right down.

CERES runs Nature Based Leadership Training very slowly.

It’s 10 months of being outside, feeling your way, making things with your hands, listening to your body, telling stories, crying and laughing, all in order to tap into the natural wisdom that helps us work out why we’re here and what we need to do to be of service to the Earth.

Now in its fifth year NBLT just gets more and more popular  – led by Claire Dunn, author of My Year Without Matches and CERES Director, Sieta Whitehead, it consists of a series of workshops, online seminars, one to one mentoring sessions and two amazing nature retreats.

If you get the feeling that the wisest life coaches, the edgiest business advisors, the funniest storytellers, most inspiring artists and musicians might just be birds, animals, trees, rocks, creeks, oceans, clouds and possibly dragonflies, this course could be the one for you.

There’s a free online session 6.30pm, Monday 24th November (that’s tonight!) with powerful stories from past participants and the chance to ask your own questions.

It’s free, but you need to register – here’s the link.

Have a great week

Chris
