SUSTENANCE FOR CHANGE

Chris' newsletter

20th November 2014

On Thursday 4th December 2014, The Grain Store and CERES Fair Food will host a dinner in support of the work of theAsylum Seeker Resource Centre.

Like our last two Full Moon dinners at The Grain Store executive chef, Ingo Meissner, will prepare a special meal featuring an abundance of locally grown, fresh produce set at communal tables. (Get in quick – these events sell out really fast) .

Guest speakers include;

  • Ruby Prior from the ASRC talking about the key challenges asylum seekers face and ways you can get involved to help the ASRC.
  • Ameen Al Jamali, a leading hand at CERES Fair Food, describes his journey from Iraq to Australia and also the help he received from the ASRC to find employment at Fair Food
  • Jesse Hull, CERES Fair Food manager, talks about how employing asylum seekers isn’t charity at all but actually makes Fair Food a better enterprise.

So book now and gather your friends and colleagues to share a delicious meal, a great night of uplifting stories and a way to contribute to the wonderful work of the ASRC.

We look forward to sharing this special evening with you!

WHEN:      Thursday 4th December, 2014

WHERE:    The Grain Store, 517 Flinders Lane, Melbourne
