Carbon Neutral Home Delivery

Chris' newsletter

27th July 2012

Thanks to Climate Positive we will be launching a carbon neutral home delivery service in the next few weeks. Though we already work hard to fulfill our mission, and be both a socially and environmentally responsible enterprise, we felt it was also important to limit the impact of our business as we grow.

You may like to read more about our sponsored project or view our certificate.

If you would like to be informed about when our carbon neutral home delivery service launches in your area, please sign up to our newsletter.

Think this is a great idea. How far will you be delivering to. IS Keilor Downs too far out?

That would be fantastic. I would love to do my weekly shop through Ceres but struggle to meet any pick up times!

That’d suit me a whole lot better. Keen to know when it’s likely to start running

It’s quite possible that Keilor Downs will be serviced. Perhaps not in the first couple weeks, as we get our bearings but afterwards. We’ll let people know via the newsletter when new areas open up, similar to what we currently do with Food Hosts.

We’re looking at a late September launch, after we’ve tested the system and operational sides. We also need to make operational changes about how we pack extras to make home delivery possible.

Bentleigh is possible but it may require a different delivery fee, or we can explore other service providers to improve efficiency to outlying suburb and keep costs down for customers. Something we’ll be looking at for further areas shortly after we launch in inner Melbourne (which also includes many outlying suburbs).

Again, newsletter will let everyone know the details on first regions to be serviced in a couple weeks 🙂 But rest assured, much of Melbourne will be covered.
